To build or to buy?

In our present economy there are deals everyone you look. If you are coming to the North Georgia Mountains in the near future to buy a full or part time cabin, you will have two choices. The first is to buy an existing cabin and do a little remodeling to personalize it to your life style. The second is to build a new cabin with everything you want in it according to your needs. Unless you are going to live in it full time my advice is to buy a cabin and make the changes to suit. It is hard to build a cabin on your land for close to what is available prebuilt and on the market at this moment. Because of all the short sales, foreclosures and cost of material up in alot of areas, buying exsisting is the smart option for most people today. Pick your top 10 criteria and you will hit 7 or 8 in a few properties out there. Remember, even when you build you always would change a few things after CO. It's just human nature, we are programed that way. If you want to purchase a cabin, have the means to do so, now is the time.
